Moxifloxacin 0.5% Eye Drop, 3 mL, is a sterile, preservative-free ophthalmic solution designed to treat bacterial infections of the eye. It contains moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial replication, transcription, and repair. Its broad-spectrum activity makes it effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

The solution is supplied in a 3 mL volume within a 5 mL plastic dropper bottle, ensuring ease of use and precise dosing. It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other susceptible bacterial eye infections. The rapid bactericidal activity of moxifloxacin helps reduce infection and associated symptoms such as redness, swelling, and discharge.

Moxifloxacin 0.5% is classified as a therapeutic equivalent to the reference listed drug (RLD) Vigamox®, with a TE rating of AT2. This ensures its bioequivalence and therapeutic efficacy.
