Description

The PROLENE™ Monofilament Suture, Blue, Size 3-0, 36", with Double-Armed RB-1 Taper Point Needles, is a sterile, synthetic, nonabsorbable suture composed of polypropylene. It is specifically indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation where permanent tensile strength is required.

The RB-1 needle is a 1/2 circle taper point needle designed for delicate tissue handling. Its rounded body allows it to spread tissue fibers rather than cut through them, making it ideal for use in soft, easily penetrated tissues. The double-armed configuration enhances efficiency in procedures requiring symmetric suturing, particularly in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological surgeries.
