The suture contains Irgacare MP (triclosan), a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. MONOCRYL Plus Antibacterial sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues, microsurgery or ophthalmic surgery.
