Nonabsorbable nylon surgical monofilament sutures, such as Ethilon™, are designed for use in various surgical procedures requiring durable wound closure. These sutures are composed of a long polymer chain that provides exceptional strength and minimal reactivity with tissues. The monofilament structure minimizes tissue trauma during insertion and reduces the risk of harboring bacteria, ensuring a clean and precise surgical outcome. Ethilon sutures are dyed black or green to enhance visibility against tissue, aiding surgeons in precise placement.
