ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, Size 5, Green, V-40, 4" x 30", is a sterile, nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture composed of high molecular weight, long-chain, linear polyester fibers. The polyester base ensures high tensile strength and minimal elongation, providing consistent support during tissue approximation. Its structure is designed to resist degradation by body enzymes.

The suture is braided to enhance flexibility, pliability, and knot security. This configuration allows for ease of use during suturing and supports secure, stable knot placement. The uniform braid also minimizes fraying and offers a smooth tactile experience for the surgeon during handling and placement.

ETHIBOND EXCEL™ is typically used in cardiovascular, orthopedic, and general soft tissue approximation, including tendon and ligament repairs. The green color provides high visibility in the surgical field, supporting precision and control during procedures. As a nonabsorbable suture, it remains permanently in the tissue unless removed.
