The product is indicated for use in clinical settings to manage and prevent the formation of blood clots in patients undergoing surgery, dialysis.

Heparin exerts its anticoagulant effects by binding to antithrombin III, which enhances the inhibition of clotting factors such as thrombin and factor Xa. This results in the prevention of fibrin clot formation and the disruption of thrombus development. Heparin is used in the management of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and in the prevention of clot formation during certain medical procedures.

The product is typically administered intravenously or subcutaneously, depending on the clinical situation and therapeutic goals.
