Suture, PolySyn 3-0 Violet 1x27 SH is a synthetic absorbable surgical suture designed for soft tissue approximation and wound closure. The suture is manufactured from PolySyn material and features a violet color for improved visibility during surgical procedures. Its braided construction provides handling characteristics suitable for controlled placement and secure tissue approximation.

The suture has an initial high tensile strength that supports wound closure during the critical healing period. Approximately 50% of the initial strength is retained at two weeks, while approximately 20% remains at three weeks. The absorbable construction allows the material to gradually lose strength as tissue healing progresses, making it suitable for procedures where long-term permanent suture support is not required.

This product is supplied as a single-arm configuration with a 27-inch (70 cm) suture attached to a 26 mm SH needle. The needle features a taper point, half-circle curvature, and silver finish. The 3-0 USP size provides an appropriate profile for applications requiring relatively fine tissue approximation. Each box contains 12 individually packaged sutures.
