Description

The IV Start Kit with ChloraPrep®, Tegaderm™, Transpore™ Dressing, Gauze, and Tourniquet is a sterile, procedure-ready solution designed to support efficient intravenous catheter placement. By combining essential components into a single package, the kit helps streamline preparation and promotes consistency during vascular access procedures. 

The kit includes ChloraPrep® antiseptic preparation for skin cleansing prior to catheter insertion. Effective skin preparation is an important step in reducing microbial contamination at the insertion site. Sterile gauze is included to assist with site preparation and post-insertion care, while the tourniquet supports vein visualization and access during the catheter placement process.

A Tegaderm™ transparent dressing is provided to secure the catheter and allow continuous visualization of the insertion site. The transparent design facilitates ongoing monitoring without disturbing the dressing. Transpore™ tape offers additional stabilization and securement when needed, helping maintain catheter positioning and supporting reliable vascular access throughout therapy.
