Description

The IV Start Kit with ChloraPrep®, Frepp®, and Tegaderm™ Transparent Dressing is a sterile, single-use procedure kit designed to support peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and site preparation. The kit combines essential components required for skin antisepsis, vein access preparation, dressing application, and post-procedure site management. 

The kit contains a medium alcohol prep pad, a povidone-iodine applicator, non-woven gauze sponges, a transparent Tegaderm dressing, Transpore tape, an IV change label, and a tourniquet. Each component is selected to assist healthcare professionals during vascular access procedures. The transparent dressing allows continuous visualization of the insertion site while helping secure the catheter in place.

Sterile packaging supports infection-control protocols by reducing the risk of contamination during preparation and application. The gauze sponges assist with cleansing and absorption, while the tape provides additional stabilization when required. The included labeling component supports documentation and identification of dressing changes according to facility protocols.
