Description

Ethibond Excel Suture is a sterile, nonabsorbable, braided polyester suture designed for precise tissue approximation and secure wound closure. The suture is coated with a highly adherent, relatively nonreactive compound that acts as a lubricant, enhancing handling properties and improving knot security compared to uncoated braided fibers. Its green coloration provides excellent visibility during placement, aiding surgical accuracy.

The suture features a 1/2 circle taper point needle (SH) constructed from high-grade stainless steel, measuring 26 mm in length with a range of 20.1 to 40 mm. The taper point design allows smooth tissue penetration with minimal trauma, making it suitable for soft tissue, cardiovascular, and general surgical applications. The needle is individually attached to the suture strand, which measures 30 inches in length, providing flexibility for various procedural needs.
